Pharmacogenetics – list of gene drug pairs

The SSCPT has been assigned by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health to elaborate and maintain a list of gene-drug-pairs as part of the Swiss List of Analyses which regulates the reimbursement of laboratory investigations by the Swiss health insurance companies. This list enumerates the pharmacogenetic tests which can be prescribed by any physician – specialist irrespective of the specialization, if a treatment with the corresponding drug is planned. The SSCPT has developed a SOP which describes the processes for maintaining and updating the list of gene-drug-pairs. The current version of the SOP can be found here.
